The State of Maine Ecology in Maine- A Symposium funded by the Rusack Coastal Symposium Fund

The Biology Department of Bowdoin College is pleased to be hosting a symposium on the state of marine ecology in Maine. This event will take place on Friday, April 21st and Saturday, April 22nd on the main campus of Bowdoin College and at the College's Coastal Studies Center on Orr's Island. This symposium is open to the public and will feature talks from a distinguished group of 17 invited speakers from 10 institutions. Northern Native Perspective on Changes on Eeyoustis, the Cree Homeland

Margaret Cromarty is an accomplished writer, eco-tourism guide and poet. She grew up on Frot George Island, in James Bay and her poems tell of her love for and fond memories of her land and the Cree people. She will talk about her life, and the changes in James Bay, and share some of her poetry.
