For Employers

Off-Campus Recruiting

Bowdoin participates in two off-campus recruiting consortia, Eastern College Career Days and Fall Recruiting Consortium.  The purpose of these events is to bring students from multiple schools together with employers from a variety of industries in one location on one (or two) days with the purpose of conducting first-round interviews. It is cost effective for both students and employers, and a terrific way to interview students from several schools in one day.

Eastern College Career Day- Boston:  Held in the end of November each year, students gather from Bowdoin, Middlebury, Amherst, Skidmore, St. Lawrence, Colgate, Dartmouth, Hamilton, Wesleyan, and Williams. Recent participating employers from the fields of teaching, educational administration, medical research, law, consulting, finance, general research, and health care include Forrester Research, Mintz Levin, PricewaterhouseCoopers, Cambridge Associates, Phillips Exeter Academy, and John Hancock Financial Network.

Eastern College Career Days-New York: Students from the same schools as above convene in New York City in mid-March to meet with employers from the fields of advertising, education, publishing, non-profit, retail, medical research, and law, including Cravath, Swaine & Moore, Carney Sandoe & Associates, Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Random House, and Saks Fifth Ave.

Fall Recruiting Consortium (New York City):  Held in early November each year, this consortium represents students from Bowdoin, Vasser, Middlebury, Wesleyan, Swarthmore and Sarah Lawrence, and employers from the fields of research, consulting, health care, and finance.  Recent participants include Citi Smith Barney, The Brattle Group, Goldman Sachs, Memorial-Sloane Kettering Cancer Center, and the Social Science Research Council.
