Non-Discriminaton Policy

The By-Laws of Bowdoin College state that the College “shall not discriminate on the basis of age, race, color, sex, sexual orientation, marital status, religion, creed, ancestry, national and ethnic origin, physical or mental handicap.”

The Career Planning Center requests that all employers seeking to avail themselves of Bowdoin’s services and facilities sign this statement indicating that their organization does not discriminate in employment on any of these grounds.  Any employer, other than a recruiter for the U.S. military, unable to so indicate, who complies with all federal and state laws and regulations, will receive access to the normal services and facilities of the Career Planning Center, but will agree to hold an informational session at the College setting forth their employment practices and policies. If a recruiter for a branch of the U.S. military is unable to sign this statement of nondiscrimination, the College requests that an open meeting be held as specified.
