At the end of each semester, students in service learning courses present their service learning projects in a community forum. Attended by community partners, faculty, staff and other students, all service learning courses are represented in one room - some as posters, some through exhibits developed, some as presentations.
The symposium is a great way for students to display what they have been working on all semester. This event allows students to share their work with community and faculty members interested in finding out what how they have impacted the community and what they have learned. It's also a chance for other Bowdoin students to see the unique contributions their classmates are making to address real community issues through their academic work.
Usually held the day after classes end, all are welcome to attend.
