Visit the Commencement welcome table in the Smith Union for the most up to date information; The Annual Meeting of Phi Beta Kappa will be held on Friday morning; Academic and Departmental Open Houses will take place between 11:00 a.m. and 2:30 p.m.; Museum and Library Tours and Exhibits will be availalbe throughout the day; Special Events with Honorary Degree Recipients will take place between 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
4:30 p.m. Baccalaureate Ceremony
The Baccalaureate Ceremony, held in Watson Arena, marks the official close of the academic year and the coming together of graduates and their families. It includes music, a speech by a graduating senior, and a keynote address by one of the honorary degree recipients. Ample parking is available at the arena.
5:30 p.m. Down East Lobster Bake
Immediately following Baccalaureate, join us for the Down East Lobster Bake located next to Watson Arena in the tent adjacent to Farley Field House. Seating is available indoors. Meal tickets are required.
9:05 a.m.
Alumni meet in front of the Chapel to form parade. Faculty meet in front of Hubbard Hall.
10:00 a.m.
The 208th Commencement Exercise will take place outdoors on the Terrace of the Walker Art Building. No tickets required. You may bring as many guests as you wish.
NOON
Commencement Luncheon for graduates and their families, alumni, faculty, staff, and guests. The luncheon will be held at Farley Field House. Meal tickets are required. Note: Shuttle buses are available to transport guests from the Commencement Exercises to the luncheon; buses pick up in front of Moulton Union. Golf carts are also available; golf carts pick up in front of the Chapel.
6:00 p.m. College Housing closes for all students.
Please note that seniors must be out of College housing by 6:00 pm on Saturday, May 25, at which time their housing access cards will be deactivated. Permission to stay beyond 6:00 p.m. must be arranged through the Office of Residential Life.
