The Sewall Greek Prize (since1879), given by Jotham Bradbury Sewall, class of 1848, S.T.D. 1902, who was fomerly the Professor of Greek at Bowdoin. The Prize is awarded annually to the member of the sophomore class who sustains the best examination in Greek.

Allan D. Wooley, class of 1958, Cilley Professor of Greek & Quondam Coordinator of Academic Computing at Phillips Exeter Academy and editor for the Classical Association of New England.
Richard E. Morgan, class of 1959, William Nelson Cromwell Professor of Constitutional and International Law and Government at Bowdoin College.
