New Research Course in Chemistry
Chemistry 119 is an advanced, research based introduction to college-level chemistry designed specifically for first year students. This course allows well-prepared first year students to gain experience in chemical research methods through parcticipation in ongoing chemistry faculty research projects. This course also gives students an opportunity to get started in chemistry in a class populated only by other first year students. After completing this course, students interested in chemistry would enroll in Chemistry 240 (Inorganic Chemistry) in the spring.
