My journey in yoga began in 1995 when, after years of not feeling fully connected with my body, I realized that I could either continue down the path I was on or make a change. I made the decision to change and this brought me to my first yoga class.
From this first class, my relationship with yoga steadily grew. Yoga has brought me a connection with my body, mind and spirit in a way that nothing else ever has. Yoga has also given me the courage, love and compassion needed for my massage practice, being a mother to 3 young boys and to navigate through life’s many ups and downs.
Having been a massage therapist for more than 15 years, I have been on many journeys with individuals who are coming home to their bodies again. In 2007, my desire to guide my clients and family further along their own path of healing and to share the love I have found with yoga brought me to Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health. There, I became certified as a yoga teacher through the 200-hour teacher training course. I have continued my studies to focus on a yoga practice that creates emotional balance and a strong yet flexible body. My love and passion for yoga continues to grow as I see the impact it has not only had in my own life, but the lives of my students.
