Bowdoin Artist in Residence George Lopez, piano, will be joined by guest artists Nadege Foofat, violin, and Emmanuel Feldman, cello, for this concert of chamber works.
The program will include Robert Schumann's Sonata in A minor, Op. 105, and Adagio and Allegro, Op. 70, for cello and piano; Clara Schumann's Prelude in G minor; and Johannes Brahms' Piano Trio in B Major, Op. 8.

Nadege Foofat, conductor and violinist, has performed as a soloist and chamber musician across Canada and the United States. She served as principal viola of the Philadelphia Virtuosi and as a member of the Albany Symphony, and is music director of the Esopus Chamber Orchestra, based in the Hudson Valley, New York.
Hailed by John Williams as "an outstanding cellist and truly dedicated artist," Emmanuel Feldman has emerged as one of the most innovative cellists of his generation. Known for his intense soulful playing and a broad range of repertoire, he enjoys an active career as soloist, chamber musician, recording artist, champion of new music and educator.
George Lopez has been featured across the globe as recitalist, soloist with orchestra, and collaborator. He received critical acclaim for his interpretation of Bach's Goldberg Variations at the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam and has performed the complete cycle of Beethoven Piano Concertos in his last two concert seasons. At Bowdoin, in addition to presenting concerts, he teaches piano students, coaches chamber ensembles and the orchestra, and performs student compositions.
