Wire transfers:  This method is the most expedient when paying from a bank account outside the U.S.  Wire to the account of Bowdoin College, TD Bank, 35 Elm Street, Brunswick, Maine 04011, ABA #211274450, account #0241788738. (International wires only: SWIFT code NRTHUS33).  Please reference the student's name and ID number as shown on the bill to identify the transaction when it arrives in the College's bank account.

Payment plans: Bowdoin does not operate its own in-house payment plan. For convenience, two payment plan agencies are offered that enable students to pay their bills over the course of a semester.  Plans are available by the semester or for the academic year.  The agencies charge an application fee, which is the same amount whether it is an annual plan or a semester plan, making annual plans slightly more economical.  Application is made online at the links provided below.  Plan contracts must be established and payments must be on schedule before a semester begins for a student to be able to enroll at Bowdoin for the semester.

If a payment plan is less than the amount of the semester bill, the remainder is due before classes start.  Alternatively, the plan contract may be increased.  Refunds are available if the payment plan overpays the student account.  Web sites and phone numbers for each agency are:

Returned Checks: Any checks written to Bowdoin College by students or parents that are returned for any reason are charged to the students' accounts. A $15 fee per check may also be assessed.

Student/Parent Loans:  Please visit your personal aid web portal or contact the Student Aid Office at 207.725.3274.
