Buyback is held in the Textbook Center in the basement of Coles Tower.

Did you know...

...that the Textbook Center buys back textbooks all semester long? It's true. We'll scan any book you bring us, new or used, whether you bought it at the Textbook Center or not, and let you know how much cash we can give you. It's just that simple!

How are prices determined?
Or in other words, how much can I get? We'll pay you 50% of the new price if the book is being used on campus next semester and the Bookstore has received the order from the professor. We must have this before we place a book on the half price list. It's 10-30% if the book is not being used on campus next semester. This is based on national demand, as these books are purchased by a national used book wholesaler and not by the Bowdoin Bookstore. Lastly, it's 0% if the book is going to a new edition or is a rather eclectic title with no national resale value.
