Howard Hughes Summer Fellowship for 2012

The Howard Hughes Medical Institute will support students interested in doing biological research with science faculty during the summer of 2012. Successful applicants will receive a summer stipend of $4,000.00 to cover a ten week research project, as well as funding for research supplies.

In addition,summer research fellows will receive subsidized on-campus housing. On Campus housing is on a first come first serve basis.

Students will submit the application electronically, ideally as a single pdf file, to Julie Santorella, Academic Coordinator, Biology Department by March 2, 2012.

During the summer, Howard Hughes Fellows will participate in a series of informal research presentations. At the end of the summer, students will submit a summary of the completed project; and present their summer research in a poster session early in the fall semester.
