Howard Hughes Summer Fellowship for 2008
The Howard Hughes Foundation will support up to eight student research fellows to work with science faculty during the summer of 2008. Successful applicants will receive a summer stipend of $4,000.00 to cover a ten week research project, as well as funding for research supplies.
In addition,summer research fellows will receive subsidized on-campus housing.
On campus housing is on a first come first serve basis.

Applicants should submit a Bowdoin College Summer Fellowship Application to the office of the Dean of the Faculty by 5:00pm March 3, 2008. The application consists of a cover page, a 2 page description of the research project, a 200-word abstract of the project, a copy of the transcript, a letter for support from the faculty sponsor, and a supplies budget.
During the summer, Howard Hughes Fellows will participate in a series of informal research presentations. At the end of the summer, they will submit a summary of the completed project; they will then present their summer research in a poster session early in the fall semester.
