The Baldwin Program: Mentoring for Academic Development
Supporting academic achievement
Meeting with a peer Academic Mentor allows students to assess their academic strengths and weaknesses and develop individually tailored time management, organizational, and study strategies.
Academic Mentors may be particularly useful to students in balancing the academic and social demands of college life; hoping to find more effective approaches to understanding, learning, and remembering new material; overcoming procrastination; or simply achieving the self-structuring demanded by an independent course or honors project.
Meetings are one-on-one, ongoing or one-time only, with the Interim Program Director or with a trained student Mentor.
To make an appointment, submit an Academic Services Request (or drop into the Center for Learning and Teaching, Kanbar 102, and fill one out here). Lisa Flanagan, Interim Director, will be in touch with you.
For More Information, contact Lisa Flanagan by email or phone (207-725-3056) or Tammis Donovan, Administrative Coordinator of the CLT, email or phone (207-725-3006).
