Salve Regina 5, Baruch 0

BRUNSWICK, Maine - The Salve Regina men's tennis team cruised to a 5-0 victory over Baruch in the opening round of the Division III Men's Tennis Tournament on Friday at Bowdoin College. Salve (19-3) advances to the second-round of the Tournament for the second-straight season. Baruch finishes their season with a record of 15-3.

After sweeping the doubles matches, the Seahawks needed just two singles matches to clinch the win. Trey Van Buskirk swept Baruch's Timmy Leon 6-1, 6-0 at #4 singles before Salve's Andrew Martin clinched the victory with a 6-0, 6-2 win over Dumitru Pito at #5.

The Seahawks advance to face third-ranked Emory College at 2:00 p.m. in Brunswick on Saturday.
