A Letter from Jeff Ward, Athletic Director

Dear Friends,

Welcome to the Bowdoin College Athletic Department Web Site. If you are reading this letter, I suspect you're either an alumnus checking up on your alma mater's athletic accomplishments or you're a prospective student looking to see if Bowdoin might be the school for you. In either case, I think you'll be happy.

For our loyal fans, I think you'll see that Bowdoin teams are winning more than ever. As importantly, our student athletes are an integral part of campus life. The skills that they learn on the field are being applied in the classroom. Our students are a very impressive lot. I'm amazed on a daily basis with what they have accomplished.

If you're a high school student looking for a college where you can reach both your academic and your athletic dreams, you can stop looking. Bowdoin is a wonderful school with a faculty committed to your education. No matter what course you hope to pursue after college, Bowdoin is a great launching pad. As an athlete, Bowdoin offers the coaching, the facilities, and the competition to challenge you and thrill you.
