
The Bowdoin College Museum of Art presents an exhibition Prints/Drawings & Drawings/Prints, 1500–1800, opening on August 4 and continuing through September 20, 2009.
Since James Bowdoin III’s gift of art in 1811, the Bowdoin College Museum has held one of the premier collections of prints and drawings in the country. This exhibition sheds light on printmaking process and the techniques utilized by old masters such as Annibale Carracci, Albrecht Dürer and Hendrick Goltzius.
