Bowdoin faculty are welcome to arrange class visits in the Museum's galleries during
regular hours. In addition to our permanent displays of ancient, European and American art, our diverse rotating
exhibitions are always designed with academic involvement in mind. Curatorial staff can lead tours and help faculty in identifying works on display that are relevant to a class topic. To learn more, please contact
Sarah Montross, Andrew W. Mellon Post-doctoral Curatorial Fellow.
Installations in our galleries are frequently changing. Please confirm in advance (ideally at the beginning of the semester) whether specific works will be on view at the time of your visit. If given advance notice, we will make every effort to present requested works of art either in the galleries or the Zuckert Seminar Room.
While the Museum is closed to the public on Mondays, we can accommodate visits to the galleries on that day with advance notice.
