Elizabeth H. Palmer, Art History & Visual Arts Department Coordinator, came to Bowdoin in 2001 from Brown University in Providence where she was Administrative Assistant for the Political Science department. Elizabeth attended Fashion Industries High School in NYC and is majoring in art at the University of Maine in Augusta.
Elizabeth enjoys running, family get-togethers in RI and NYC, and her annual trips to Puerto Rico, but not necessarily the Maine winters. Elizabeth resides in Brunswick with her husband, Stu Palmer '85, and their four children. They share their home with two dogs and three crazy cats.
Elizabeth manages the department's daily operations and provides administrative support for all teaching and research related activities.
She looks forward to meeting students at Bowdoin and assisting them with their needs. If you have any questions or need help with anything related to the department please feel free to contact her.
Elizabeth's office is located on the second floor of the Visual Arts Center. Office hours for Fall semester are Monday through Friday 8 - 4pm.
