North Pole Expedition Centennial Events
April 6th Centennial
On April 6th, 2009 the Museum will be open to the Public from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm in celebration of the 100th anniversary of Peary's North Pole Expedition. Come view our new exhibition "The Pole At Last," featuring a key page from Peary's North Pole diary, as well as other crew members' journals.
Free T-Shirt Giveaway from 3:00 - 4:30 pm at the Museum!
The first 100 Bowdoin College students and employees who hand in an Arctic or Arctic-explorer themed limerick will receive a FREE centennial t-shirt. There will also be a photo opportunity to get your picture taken as a famous explorer, so don't forget your camera!
