Regional Interviews

If you find that it is not possible to have one on campus, we encourage you to interview with a member of the Bowdoin Alumni Schools and Interviewing Committee (BASIC) in your home region. There are BASIC volunteers in many areas of the United States and a number of foreign countries available to assist in the admissions process. Alumni interviews may be requested between September 1, 2008, and January 1, 2009, by completing the online request form. Candidates are strongly encouraged to schedule an interview as early as possible.

Bowdoin Nights

Bowdoin's Admissions staff will host a series of Bowdoin Night receptions this fall in select areas of the US. Bowdoin Nights are intended to be informational meetings for prospective students interested in learning more about Bowdoin College. The program will include a presentation highlighting academic and student life at Bowdoin, information on the admissions process and opportunities for financial aid, as well as the chance to meet local alumni/ae.

High School Visits

Our Admissions staff travels to close to 600 high schools every fall to meet with interested students. These sessions generally cover academic and extracurricular opportunities, as well as the admissions process. Any questions about Bowdoin will be welcomed. If Admissions staff will be visiting your high school, you will receive a letter notifying you of the date and time of the visit (assuming, of course, you are on our mailing list).
