Blackboard

Blackboard course sites are generated each semester for all courses, relying on data from Polaris, Bowdoin's Student Information System. During the add/drop period the system updates the course enrollment data daily to keep course rosters up-to-date. Access to Blackboard is provided to all faculty, staff, and students.

Please Share Your Thoughts: Blackboard Usage Survey

Bowdoin has been using Blackboard as its course management tool since 2005. Since then, the course management landscape has changed significantly, and now offers numerous improvements and additional features to support teaching and learning. Over the next several months, we will investigate Blackboard's new and updated tools, as well as examine the features of other alternatives. As you are a fundamental part of the process, we value your thoughts and would like your feedback about Blackboard. We would like to know what works (or does not), what improvements you would like to see, and what tools you cannot live without. To that end, please complete the usage survey below to share your thoughts, concerns, experiences, and perspectives.
