Faculty Development Committee
The Faculty Development Committee awards grants to members of the faculty in several categories:
- Course development,
- Funds to support research and scholarship, including supplemental support for travel to professional conferences,
- Faculty leave fellowships and
- Other fellowships for faculty development and funds to assist students who work collaboratively with members of the faculty in research.
The committee also establishes procedures and criteria for awards. Please view the application procedure before submitting any materials. All applications must be submitted electronically on or before the deadline date (October 1, 2009, January 14, 2010 and April 15, 2010) to fdc@list.bowdoin.edu.
Faculty members are reminded of other sources of internal funding, including funds administered by the Office of the Dean for Academic Affairs for Professional Conference Travel and Course Enrichment.
