The Chemistry Department and Biochemistry Program seek applicants for a joint, tenure-track appointment in bioorganic chemistry beginning Fall 2010. A Ph.D. in organic or bioorganic chemistry is required; postdoctoral research and teaching experience are highly desirable. An appointment will be made at the assistant or associate professor level depending on qualifications and experience. Teaching responsibilities (three courses per year) will include the two-semester core organic chemistry sequence and contributions to the biochemistry and chemistry curricula at the introductory and advanced levels. The successful candidate must possess a strong commitment to undergraduate education and demonstrate the potential to develop a funded, active, and productive research program that involves undergraduates.
