My name is Alissa Rooney. I am now a sophomore at Bowdoin College in Brunswick, Maine. I am a history major and am taking a course on African American History this semester. As a mid-term assignment we are creating educational websites relating to an aspect of African American History. Thus, I have created this website. This is a picture of me working extremely hard on my website. It took me a while and I spent many hours at the library, and many hours on the phone with my computer genius brother, Garrett, but I think it was worth it. In my research I used numerous sources, both primary and secondary. For a listing of these sources, here is a link to my bibliography page. I hope it helps you in some way. This was my main intention in creating the site. If you have any suggestions on how I could make the site better, let me know. I'd love your feedback.
